The assailant fled, and the players resumed the match, withBressington on the field, after tea.Gloucestershire chief executive Tom Richardson said that the club was takingthe incident very seriously. “It may only be a little air pellet but if ithad hit someone in the eye it could have been extremely dangerous,” he toldthe Bristol Evening Post.The match resumed on Thursday, with Bressington able to take the field.The youngster has a summer contract with the club, which he hopes will beextended at the end of the year.
