Enzo Maresca's side brush aside awful Saints to stop the rot at Stamford Bridge and move back into fourth place in the Premier League table.
Chelsea returned to winning ways by hammering Southampton 4-0 at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
Christopher Nkunku, Pedro Neto and Levi Colwill scored in the first half before Marc Cucurella added a fourth as the Blues shrugged off a nervy opening to romp to victory.
It was another difficult night for Cole Palmer, though, who missed several presentable chances to end his goal drought.
GOAL rates Chelsea's players from Stamford Bridge…
AFPGoalkeeper & Defence
Filip Jorgensen (5/10):
Suffered in the first half, looking nervous on the ball and lacking conviction in his handling. Settled down once Chelsea took charge of the game.
Malo Gusto (6/10):
Always a willing runner down the right-hand side but was not comfortable defensively as the Saints made a strong start.
Tosin Adarabioyo (6/10):
Part of a shaky first-half effort and did not have too much work to do as the game wore on.
Levi Colwill (7/10):
Also didn't find the opening easy but did improve and gets an extra mark for scoring Chelsea's third with a firm header just before half-time.
Marc Cucurella (8/10):
Picks up some dangerous positions from his inverted left-back position and was eventually rewarded with the fourth goal of the night. Playing with lots of confidence.

Enzo Fernandez (7/10):
Produced one of the quality moments of the match when sliding Palmer in on goal in the first half and seems to be in better form than many of his team-mates.
Moises Caicedo (6/10):
Did not have to put out too many fires but kept things ticking over in midfield. Received a silly yellow card for a late challenge in the 66th minute.
Cole Palmer (5/10):
Having one of the most difficult spells of his Chelsea career. Never went missing but missed three chances he would surely have taken in the opening weeks of the season.

Jadon Sancho (7/10):
A few nice touches in the first half to open the game up for Chelsea after a sticky start. Looked comfortable on the right-hand side.
Pedro Neto (8/10):
Seems to be thriving in the centre-forward position, able to drop off to pick up possession or use his pace to run in-behind. Took his goal very nicely and is an interim solution to the Nicolas Jackson injury.
Christopher Nkunku (8/10):
Opened the scoring with a brave header just seconds after Palmer should have squared to him for a tap in. Also picking up form for having a run in the team.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall (6/10):
Not too involved but helped his side cruise to victory by keeping possession ticking over from the right.
Tyrique George (7/10):
Produced an impressive cameo, slamming a powerful effort off target before teeing up Cucurella with a fine assist after a counter-attack.

Enzo Maresca (6/10):
A comfortable win but difficult to read too much into victory over such a poor Southampton side. Will be pleased his team have stopped the rot.
