Chelsea have agreed a deal to re-sign Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid on a six-year contract, per a new report.

Chelsea have reached an agreement with Atletico to sign Felix for a second time, per The Athletic, The Portugal international was on loan at the Blues in 2019, playing 20 times and scoring four goals. Now, the Blues have negotiated a permanent deal, with the 24-year-old set to sign a six-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.

The deal appears likely to open the door to Conor Gallagher finally moving to Atletico. Chelsea had been in talks to buy striker Samu Omorodion from the Liga club but that deal fell through, leaving the midfielder in limbo. His protracted deal has yet to be completed but if Felix moves to west London, Gallagher appears free to finally complete his switch to Spain.
